ICAS Lab Openings 

PhD Position for Spring 2025 STATUS: POSITION FILLED

We have an opening for a funded PhD student to conduct research in 6G wireless communications and networking. We are looking for candidates with a strong analytical foundation and a commitment to high-impact scholarly work.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field (focus on Communication Systems preferred).

  • Minimum GPA of 3.50.

  • Strong quantitative GRE scores and proficient TOEFL/IELTS scores (for international applicants).

  • Solid background in advanced mathematics, signal processing, and optimization.

  • Proficiency in programming (MATLAB, Python, or C).

  • Evidence of research potential through a high-quality MS thesis or peer-reviewed publications.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with expertise in Communication Theory and Wireless Systems. The successful candidate will lead independent research initiatives and contribute to the lab's strategic goals.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

  • Deep expertise in mathematical optimization and wireless system modeling.

  • A strong record of publication in top-tier IEEE journals (e.g., TWC, TCOM, TSP).

  • Excellent technical communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Experience in grant proposal development is highly desirable.

We welcome motivated Cleveland State undergraduate students to engage with our research. We value students with strong programming skills and a hands-on interest in hardware-software integration for communication and sensing systems.
