  • For the registration procedure of CIS698 Independent Study:

    (Note that CIS698 registration process takes at least 2-3 weeks to be able to register before the semester begins or by the end of the first week)

    3. Send the form with the approved proposal (in PDF) to the Program director Dr.Wang for his approval signature

  • Important Dates (Tentative):

    A Final Proposal Due by April 30 !
    You can choose the subject of your proposal. It doesn't need to be the same as the subjects of your presentations !
    Minimum 6 - 8 page for Person. Minimum 10 pages per Two Person Group !
    Your Final Proposal Should Include a Related Work (Papers) Survey Summary section (Minimum 3 pages).

  • Presentation will be evaluated based on the Following Three:

    1. Summary of Paper -- Probelm Description, Solution/Approach with Examples
    2. Complexity of Paper and Comprehensive Understanding in Presentation
    3. Presentation -- Presentation Skill and Good Time Distribution on Main Topics


    Instruction for Presenations:

    Each person presents a 20 min Presentation on the papers in a research topic of his/her choice. Each person presents twice PER SEMESTER.
    Sign up for your presentation time slot on the Google Schedule Sheet (the Link is Sent to your CampusNet Email) with your name, your paper title and the links to papers if available.
    Your presentation will be posted on the class webpage.

    Submission Instruction After Each Presenation:

    1. Submit a Zip file that includes both your slides (both in .ppt and .pdf) and your papers (in pdf) on Blackboard by the end of Friday of your presentation week.
    2. Submit a Printout of your slides in Class for the Feedback and Grading.
